The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. ISAIAH 61:1
Our mission is to evangelize, and disciple inmates, resulting in spiritual awakening and an intimate love relationship with Jesus Christ thus empowering them for extended incarceration or a return to society. The T.I.M.E. for Christ Jail Ministry has funded the protestant Chaplain within the Bexar County Jail for 30 years.
This ministry oversees a volunteer team of 80 individuals providing evangelism, discipleship, Bibles, Biblical literature, mentoring and guidance to an ever changing inmate population of 3,500 at any given time. T.I.M.E. stands for Teaching, Intercession, Ministry and Evangelism.
